Changes to traffic patterns:

• Bullitt Middle Rd will no longer be a connector for W. Blue Lick and Hwy. 44. The section of Bullitt Lick Middle Rd between the two schools will be excavated and blocked off.

• Our Car Riders must exit going toward Hwy. 44.

• All Car riders and Buses will have to enter our school parking lots via W. Blue Lick.

• All Buses will exit toward W. Blue Lick; please ensure the buses are able to exit the school safely.

We ask that you be patient as there may be potential issues or traffic jams with this change. Please expect traffic backups and plan to be a school a little earlier than normal.

Basically, use W. Blue Lick to enter SES. Car Riders will exit the rear of the building and head toward Hwy 44.

Have a great day and be careful!

Mr. Durham

9-20-2017

Stingrays,

As a result of the upcoming renovation to Bullitt Lick Middle, our traffic patterns will be altered somewhat. The changes should begin next week and continue for an unspecified timeframe.  I am waiting on a specific day that is to be determined.  Once the day is officially decided, I will post on our school Facebook page.  Please check the Facebook page regularly for updates.

Changes:

Car Riders:

Please make every attempt to drop students off at school between 8:40 am and 8:50 am each morning.  We ask this so our students can get into their rooms with some time to spare and be prepared for the day ahead.  Our AM drop-offs are becoming more efficient.  This is a result of multiple cars dropping off in groups and not only dropping off at entrance sidewalk.  Our goal is to get groups of 5-7 cars to drop off at a time.  The staff at AM car riders will help you be as safe and efficient as possible.

The PM car rider lines are working really well.  We are able to safely dismiss over 150 cars each afternoon in 12-15 minutes.  This is quite a feat!  Please be patient as we help our students get to their cars safely.

Thank you!

Mr. Durham

For the 2017 -2018 school year: Doors will open at 8:40 for all students! Remember…all students will report to the cafeteria for breakfast before heading to class as part of our new school meal plan. Please plan to have your child to school in time to eat their breakfast before they start class! Our school day starts promptly at 9:10. If you are dropping your child off after this time please report to the front office to sign them in. Our dismissal time continues to be 3:50. Please be sure your child knows how they will be going home each day. If your child is a walker or car rider you will be required to have a car tag or walker tag to pick your child up. These tags are available in the front office. If you do not have a tag you will not be able to pick up your child. Instead, you will be sent to the office to acquire the correct tag before we release your child to you. Also, parents of car riders must wait in the car rider line just as parents of walkers must actually walk to the school. Please remember that students must be picked up by an adult.
