Eastside Middle was recently named State Champions in the "We the People" Competition. This was the inaugural year for middle school competition in Kentucky. These students spent nine weeks working on their assigned unit conducting research and writing speeches to answer critical questions about the Constitution. The topics ranged from philosophers that influenced the Founding Fathers through citizenship requirements for today's society. The competition consisted of a four minute prepared speech and six minutes of questioning from a panel of judges.
Both Eastside Middle School Cheer teams are 2018 Kentucky State Middle School State Champions. Blue team won in the large division and White team won in the medium division. This is a 6-PEAT for the Blue Team and a 3-PEAT for the White team.
When student musicians, music educators and the audience attend the Central Area Regional Music Festival March 22nd, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Bullitt Central High School, they will make history.
