Bullitt County Public Schools: The Leader in Educational Excellence

District Energy Data

Bullitt County Public Schools began our energy conservation program in 2006.  Over the past nine years, the District took the steps to hire an energy manager, passed a district energy policy, created a district energy plan, continues to promote energy efficiency and conservation, and made low/no-cost chages to reduce energy consumption.

BCPS eventually entered into an energy saving performance contract with Harshaw Trane in 2008 - providing necessary facility improvements such as new HVAC controls, improved indoor air quality, lighting, domestic hot water and boiler replacement, and a standardized building automation system.

Since the inception of the BCPS energy program, and as of the 2015/2016 school year - the district has saved approximately:  $4,708,075

Please see the links to the right for each yearly energy report.  Below are graphs comparing the 2015/2016 school year against the 2014/2015 school year - as well as comparing last school year against our baseline energy use data.
