HVAC Lab Ribbon Cutting at Bullitt County Area Technology Center
Special recognition to Rudy Hawkins who initially instructed the HVAC lab and assisted in bringing the program back to the ATC. Special recognition to Prudential Heating & Air. Special recognition to HVAC lab sponsor Harshaw Trane. Bullitt County Area Technology Center Principal Angela Binkley talked about the journey to the ribbon cutting for the HVAC lab. HVAC Instructor Chris Sageser thanked Harshaw Traine, Prudential Heating & Air and all those who supported the lab. He encouraged students interested in the field to enroll. Guests applauded the student testimonials. Current HVAC student Trey Blevins also spoke his experience in the learning lab. Current HVAC student Austen Hiner shared his gratitude  learning in the lab. Matthew Hallinan is a graduate of Bullitt County Public Schools and now works at Harshaw Trane. He discussed the great opportunity students have to develop skills in the HVAC lab. Guests sitting in the new HVAC lab listened to comments from guest speakers. Bullitt County Judge/Executive Melanie J. Roberts emphasized that proper training is essential today for a students' success tomorrow. Kentucky 49th District Rep. Linda Belcher said as a former principal, she is keenly aware of the importance of manufacturing jobs. Alex Kramer of Prudential Heating & Air talked about the importance of preparing students for a successful future. Harshaw Trane Vice President Lou Zaccone spoke about providing necessary resources for students. Guests gather inside the HVAC lab and listen to speakers prior to the ribbon cutting. District Director of College and Career Readiness/Innovative Programs Willie Foster opened the ribbon cutting ceremony. Education, government and business officials cut the ribbon to the new HVAC lab at the Bullitt County Area Technology Center.
