Bridge Weigh-In Test in Industrial Maintenance at Bullitt County Area Technology Center
Placing the bridge exactly between tables was also factor in how much weight it could sustain. This very sturdy bridge never collapsed but the eight of the bricks and concrete cinder blocks tipped it forward. Look how much weight this student built bridge is holding. Stacking weight on their bridge caused excitement (and anxiety_ for some students! Bridges buckle under the weight of bricks and concrete cinder blocks. Industrial Maintenance Instructor Scott Wallen watches a student add wight to his bridge. Adding bricks inside cinder blocks helped distribute weight evenly. Students were careful and deliberate in adding weight to their bridge. Instructor Scott Wallen allowed specific resources for all students to construct their bridge which were then weight tested. Industrial Maintenance students at the Bullitt County Area Technology Center tested their strength of their bridges with concrete cinder blocks and bricks.
