Bullitt Central has set specific goals we’d like to help our students reach throughout the 2021-2022 school year. During their time in our BC halls, our staff and administration aims to prepare all of our students with the skills they need for the future. At the same time, we understand that each of our students is immensely different, each with different skills, learning styles, passions, home-lives, and more. Providing equitable and quality instructional experience tailor-made to our students is of the utmost importance to us here at BC.
When analyzing the desired skills for our graduates and where we as a staff feel our students could improve, we have pinpointed three goals for the 2021-2022 school year that align with our mission:
- Increase Composite ACT Score to an 18 or higher
- Improve Postsecondary Readiness to 90% or higher
- Enhance Social-Emotional Learning through various activities targeted at teaching the whole student
Next week, staff will be meeting with each grade level to review this information with our students, including student incentives for meeting the ACT goal or becoming Postsecondary Ready. In addition, students will review classroom expectations, such as our Cell Phone and Dress Code Policies, Classroom Expectations, and more.
