ROC/Campbellsville University Criminal Justice dual credit pathway debuted at BCPS

Last week, BCPS debuted our new Criminal Justice dual credit pathway program with a ribbon cutting ceremony! This program is housed by the Riverview Opportunity Center and is operated in conjunction with Campbellsville University, allowing juniors and seniors to take dual credit classes in Criminal Justice. 

Course credits offered can be applied to a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration. Areas of study within this curriculum include law enforcement, the courts, corrections, criminology, delinquency, and victimology. Graduates of the Criminal Justice Administration program have the opportunity to pursue careers such as: 

  • Agent in the CIA, FBI, DEA, Secret Service

  • Crime Prevention Specialist

  • Criminal Investigator

  • Supervisor of Corrections Officer

  • Homicide Detective

  • Probation Officer

  • Sheriff

  • And more

 

These credits will be transferable to Campbellsville University (CU) after graduation, allowing students priority acceptance to CU - Louisville. The credits also have the potential to be transferred to other schools, depending on curriculum and course matchings.
