BEHS student wins 2020 KHEAA Essay Contest

Tyler Wheatley - KHEAA Essay Winner

Congratulations to BCPS Student Tyler Wheatley for winning the Kentucky Higher Education Assistant Authority (KHEAA) Essay Contest. Tyler is a senior at Bullitt East High School. For his winning essay, he will be awarded a $500 scholarship to be applied to a college of his choice. 

In his essay, Tyler wrote, “Living in poverty limits children’s ability to learn and contribute to the community… People who lack education struggle financially, often have poor health and have higher unemployment rates. Education creates stable and safe communities.”
