Congratulations to North Bullitt High School’s Youth Service Center (YSC) Coordinator Ms. Jennifer Lowe, for being named Bullitt County Partners in Prevention’s Partner of the Year, an incredible honor for one partner of the Prevention coalition.
Bullitt County Partners in Prevention (BCPIP) is a group of committed volunteers focused on providing alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention programs, especially for the residents of Bullitt County. Also visit the BCPIP Facebook page for up-to-date events and information.
Ms. Lowe was nominated by Stacie Sullivan, a part of the REACH Program, due to the impact she has had with both middle and high school students. Ms. Lowe has worked as a YSC at both Hebron Middle and North Bullitt High Schools since 2012, before North Bullitt became a stand-alone site in 2019.
“I absolutely love being a coordinator and I thoroughly enjoy working with high school students and helping them navigate some of the most difficult years,” states Ms. Lowe. “I have helped students and families through crisis situations where all they needed was support, resources, and a listening ear.”
Ms. Lowe has a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies from Eastern Kentucky University; prior to becoming a YSC Coordinator, she worked for Child Protective Services in Jefferson County for seven years.
