Student meals during the hybrid schedule

Todd Crumbacker, Director of School Nutrition Services

To all Bullitt County families with children,

As you know, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has granted waivers and flexibilities that allow our School Nutrition Services Department to function under the Summer Feeding Service Program (SFSP). This means that all children in our communities under the age of 19 years are eligible to receive FREE meals. Due to a much needed extension of these waivers and flexibilities, our department will be serving FREE meals throughout the duration of the 20-21 school year. Regardless of your student’s learning method or if your child is non-school aged, we will be offering FREE meal services.

As we transition into this HYBRID model of learning, the Department of School Nutrition remains committed to providing quality meal service. To understand which meal service methods will be offered for your child please view the information below:

If you are currently signed up for one of these services and you wish to change your service method, please communicate with our office your intentions. We want to be diligent in our planning and preparation in order to reduce food waste. We are committed to serving all children during this time; however, we do ask that families only sign up for one meal service option per child. Our goal is to ensure that your child receives one breakfast and one lunch for each day school is in-session (in-person or remote). You may contact any of the following team members in our department to make changes to your services and/or to ensure the confirmation of your meal service.
