The fall sports season is upon us, and it is unlikely to be like any season we have ever experienced. All of us at Bullitt County Public Schools believe that sports are a vital piece of a well-rounded student experience.
While we all want the games to go on, we also want to keep our players, coaches, families, and overall community safe during the ongoing pandemic. Below are some safety guidelines that we will implement this season to ensure safety and limit the spread of COVID-19. We appreciate all spectators following these guidelines if they attend a Bullitt County Public Schools sporting event:
Entrance/Admission to the Game
All spectators are expected to wear a mask. Spectators will be asked to leave if they refuse to wear a mask or covering.
At the front gate, all spectators will be asked for the following information:
All spectators must take a temperature scan before entering the venue. Those with a temperature higher than 100.4 degrees will be asked to leave.
Attendance to games will be limited based on the sport and the venue:
For the 2020-2021 season, all ticket sales for BCPS high school sporting events will take place online through Go Fan, www.gofan.co/search. Because we must reduce fan attendance to 20% of facility capacity, a limited number of tickets will be available to purchase for each event. There will be no tickets available for purchase at the gate.
We know these rules are different than what we all normally experience at sporting events. However, these are the guidelines that will help us stay healthy and keep our season going. We thank you in advance for your flexibility and support as we navigate uncertain waters.
Good luck to all our Bullitt County athletes in the 2020-21 school year!
