The MWMS/EMS Youth Services Center is conducting our biennial Needs Assessment to help us better understand the needs of our students and families. Your feedback is an important part of this process and will guide our planning and programs for the next two years. The information collected will help us identify priority areas—such as academic support, family engagement, health services, and basic needs—so we can provide resources and programs that best support our school community. These students were recognized Friday, October 24 for being General Star WINNERS! They were recognized by their teachers for following the STAR expectations at MWMS and had their name drawn from all the STARS.

This year’s theme is “Life Is a Puzzle — Solve It Drug Free.”

Here are the standings at the end of week 1 for our penny wars for the best decorated pumpkin by the staff. Currently in first place is pumpkin number eight, the Squishmallow. In second place is pumpkin number five the 6-7 ice cream cone. In third place is pumpkin number one, the Harry Potter pumpkin Remember, you can bring in change to vote all the way through next Friday. Bills and silver coins count as positive points and pennies count as negative points! It's been a lot of fun! Thank you Generals for voting and getting into the contest! #ForThe Mount

Good luck to the 6th grade Lady Generals Basketball Team in their MKAC tournament tomorrow, October 25 at St. Dominic School. The games begin at 10:00 am. CASH ONLY accepted at the tournament.

MWMS needs your help with donations for the Halloween Dance being held October 30. (More details about the dance will go out to students within a week or so.)

Items needed are canned Coke products, bottled water, individual snacks/candy. Items will be sold at the dance. The money raised helps offset costs for the 8th grade trip to Washington D.C.

Items can be brought in or dropped off to Mrs. Daugherty in the office.
