Volunteers Needed:
Do you have a current background check and have the ability to help out at MWMS Field Day?
More volunteers are needed...We'd love several more people for both the morning (8-11:30) and afternoon shift (11:30-3). Field day is scheduled for Tuesday, May 27 but if the weather is an issue, it will be changed to Thursday, May 29.
Even if you can't stay a whole shift, but in a window of time, we'll take it!
Please contact the school to speak with Mrs. Culver to sign up to help. Contact 502-869-5207 or email holly.culver@bullitt.kyschools.us

MWMS Field Day will be May 27. Kona Ice will be available for purchase, so bring money if you want to purchase Kona Ice. There will be some water activities, so students should come prepared with a towel and a change of clothes. The Youth Service Center will not be able to provide a change of clothes. The YSC will only be able to assist with emergency needs that day.
Students will learn more about field Day activities in their Crew over the next few days.
If you have a current background check and would like to volunteer at Field Day, please contact the school at 502-869--5200.

Families:
Students are currently finalizing their Individual Learning Plan (ILP) using a platform called SchooLinks. Throughout the year in CREW, they’ve completed a variety of activities and assessments that explore their interests, learning styles, and potential post-secondary goals—whether that be the workforce, college, or trade school.
In middle school, students are still discovering who they are and what they’re passionate about, so it’s normal for these plans to change from year to year as their interests develop. That’s why students will revisit and update their ILP annually. In high school, they’ll begin to refine their plans with more focus and intention as they prepare for life after graduation.
Once your student publishes their ILP, you’ll receive a copy via email to review and sign. Your support helps us guide students in making meaningful and informed decisions about their futures.
Thank you for partnering with us in this important process!
If you have any questions or need counseling support, please feel free to email christy.fenwick@bullitt.kyschools.us

Pre-ordered yearbooks will be passed out 5/19/25 during CREW.
Students who did not pre-order a yearbook, have the ability to purchase a yearbook, starting 5/21. Yearbooks cost $30 Bring in cash or check (payable to MWMS) , and see Ms. Hutchins before school in the gym.
They will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. No yearbook will be held for a student.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Hutchins at cheryl.hutchins@bullitt.kyschools.us

From the BCPS Website:
They’re the first faces you see, the calm voices on the phone, and the ones who somehow juggle it all with a smile.
On National Receptionist Day, we’re celebrating the front office teams who keep our schools running smoothly and our communities feeling welcomed. From fielding calls and comforting students to managing schedules and answering a thousand questions a day, their impact is felt far beyond the front desk.
Thank you for the warmth, organization, and kindness you bring to your schools. You truly exemplify our Core Value of "Students Matter Most" by showing up for every student, staff member, and family who walks through your doors.

💜💛 We greatly appreciate Mrs. Daugherty and all she does for our Generals (staff, students and families)! Thank you for always going above and beyond.

We would like for ALL of our MWMS Generals to wear their #ForTheMount t-shirts that they were given last week TOMORROW (Thursday) to school. We know some teams already sent notifications about this... but we decided to make it school-wide. See you tomorrow in your cool shirt!

See the attached flyer for information about the 2nd annual MW LEADS program.

Parents of incoming 6th graders are invited to join our Counselor, Ms. Fenwick, and our Youth Services Center Coordinator, Ms. Lurie, for coffee on June 4 from 9:00-10:00 in the MWMS Cafeteria. During this time, we hope to ease your mind about the transition to middle school and answer some of your questions.
