The Riverview Opportunity Center has started a partnership with the University of Kentucky! Starting in the 24-25 school year, Juniors and Seniors will have another opportunity for Dual Credit courses!
Here are some highlights:
⭐️ Students that qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch will have tuition paid for (after available scholarships have been used)
⭐️Transportation will be provided from North Bullitt and Bullitt East. We are within easy walking distance to Bullitt Central!
⭐️All courses are highly-transferable to public universities in Kentucky, and are part of UK's Core Area Courses

Our BAMS students stayed late yesterday for their GE Build Night.
Through our partnership with GE, students have been working on their Tiny House engineering projects all year, and yesterday evening was all about making those designs come to life!

Our very own Ms. Arlana Hobbs was recognized at last night's Board Meeting as a FRED award nominee! She is incredible!
Ms. Becky Brogan, the Specialized Programs bookkeeper, and Ms. Shannon Rickard, our College & Career Readiness Coach, were recognized as well but was not able to attend.
We are extremely thankful for Ms. Hobbs, Ms. Brogan, and Ms. Rickard!

Congratulations to 9 (yes, nine!) of our BAMS students that have been accepted into Craft and Gatton academies! We are so proud of you!!!
Last year, BAMS sent more students to Gatton and Craft than any other entity in the state - more than entire districts. It may be the same this year - we will have to wait and see!

The BAMS Program has just returned from their Marine Biology Adventure, which included stops at Animal Kingdom, SeaWorld, Discovery Cove, and Universal Studios. During this trip, students had the opportunity to learn about marine conservation, got to interact with aquatic animals such as dolphins and rays, and explore the habitats and ecosystems of marine life. In the fall semester, students in the BAMS program took a marine biology course that prepared them for their studies while in Florida. During our adventure, students became #MasteryLearners as they applied content to settings and contexts beyond our classrooms.

BAC and Spring Meadows teachers learned more about Lecorgan counseling and Trauma Informed Care - it has been a great day of learning so far!
