The district is planning a new elementary school for the eastern area as a replacement for Old Mill Elementary School. Cate Noble Ward of Studio Kremer Architects reported the district is getting a quality facility for a good investment. The new 800 student elementary school was awarded to Redlee Construction and Development, Inc. in the amount of $19,336,000.

Due to COVID-19, BCPS students have been remote learning from home longer than in the regular classroom setting. after-hours meal pick-up
BCPS after-hours weekly meal pick-up

Beginning Thursday, October 1, the BCPS Department of School Nutrition will be providing an after-hours meal service method for students in the Bullitt Cloud Academy. In addition, this meal service includes non-school-aged children in the home under the age of 19. The service method will provide a week’s worth of meals -- five breakfast and five lunch meals -- to be picked up at one location one day a week.

Cover the Cruiser event raises money for holiday assistance

This year, the Youth Service Center (YSC) teamed up with our School Resource Officer and the Shepherdsville police department for a “Cover the Cruiser” event. This event raised donations for holiday assistance, which provides full Thanksgiving meals to families and supplemental food boxes to students for the Christmas break.
