Open Records Process

The basic function of the KY Open Records Act (found at KRS 61.870 et seq) is designed to guarantee free and open examination of public records that are in the public interest. This right to access is limited when such information is protected from disclosure by one of these exceptions.

Review of Instructional Materials

Under procedures developed by the Superintendent, the review of instructional materials, including textbooks, supplementary materials, and library books, on the basis of citizen concerns will be conducted in response to a properly filed written request. Should you have concerns with any instructional materials used in a BCPS School, please review information and complete the form linked below. All completed forms should be submitted to the principal of the school utilizing the instructional resource.
