We Need a Parent Representative!
Brooks Elementary is proud of the many backgrounds and cultures represented in our school community. We are looking for a **Minority Parent Representative** to serve on our SBDM Council and help bring an important parent voice to school decisions.
Parents who identify as **American Indian, Alaskan Native, African American, Hispanic/Latino, Pacific Islander, or another ethnic group underrepresented at Brooks** are eligible to be nominated.
**Nominations are due August 26 by 4:00 PM.**
**Voting will take place August 27 through a Google Form.**
We would love to have one of our Brooks families step into this important role. Please consider nominating yourself or another eligible parent!

🎉 **Brooks Elementary Open House** 🎉
We can't wait to welcome our Bronco families back to school!
📅 **THURSDAY, August 6**
🕠 **5:30–7:00 PM**
Come meet your child's teacher, see the classroom, and get ready for an amazing school year! During Open House, families can also complete several important back-to-school tasks. To save time, many of these can be completed ahead of time by scanning the QR codes on the attached flyer.
📚 **School supply lists are attached** so you can finish any last-minute shopping before the first day of school.
👩🏫 **Class rosters will be available beginning August 5**, so you'll be able to see your child's teacher before Open House.
We can't wait to see everyone on August 6 and kick off another great year at Brooks Elementary. It's going to be a fantastic year to be a Bronco! 🖤
📚 i-Ready MyPath remains open through July 20! A little practice now can help prevent the "summer slide" and keep students ready for their next grade level. Make a small goal of passing 2 lessons per week!
📖 Reading for 20 minutes a day is another easy way to stay prepared for the fall.
📝 School supply lists are attached.
📋 Class lists will be available at the beginning of July.

⏰ New School Hours for 2026-2027:
• Doors open at 8:40 AM
• Instructional day: 9:10 AM – 4:05 PM (This is 15 minutes later than last year..prepare for dismissal accordingly)
