A huge THANK YOU to Mayor Jose Cubero and the Cubero Foundation for an incredible act of generosity and community support! Today, six of our Brooks Elementary students were awarded a FREE one-year pass to Shepherdsville’s new indoor and outdoor aquatic center. 🏊☀️
Mayor Cubero specifically asked for students who work hard, show determination, and truly deserve to be recognized for their efforts. We were honored to celebrate six students who consistently demonstrate perseverance, kindness, and dedication each day at Brooks.
Opportunities like this remind us how important it is for students to feel seen, valued, and celebrated—not only for grades or accomplishments, but for their character and hard work.
Thank you, Mayor Cubero and the Cubero Foundation, for investing in our students and helping create meaningful memories and opportunities for them and their families. We are so grateful for community partners who believe in our kids and help remind them that hard work matters.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, and those who step into motherly roles with love and strength each day. 💐
Today, we also hold space for those who are missing their mothers, longing to be mothers, grieving, or spending the day separated from loved ones.
At Brooks Elementary, we are grateful for the village that surrounds and supports our children every day. Your love, encouragement, sacrifice, and care make a lasting difference in the lives of our Broncos.
We hope your day is filled with love, peace, and appreciation. 💛 #theBESt

💙 FCA in Action 💙
We are so proud of our FCA students for the way they showed up and served our school community! This group spent time spreading kindness and making a difference in so many ways—creating thoughtful teacher appreciation cards, cleaning windows, pulling weeds, and organizing our birthday books.
Their willingness to jump in, help out, and care for our school reflects what it means to lead with purpose and serve others. Thank you, FCA, for making Brooks Elementary a better place! 💛 #theBESt
