On Jan 23rd, students from Ms. George's class and cadets from Dr. Henry's class went to Fort Knox for a field trip investigating the Army as a career field within public safety. The students and cadets participated with the aviation unit and the military police dog handling unit.
The Youth Services Center is hosting a Family Game Night on Thursday, 2/6 from 5-7pm. Free food is provided, and raffle prizes will be available for families!
This is a night to disconnect from electronics and learn a new board game together!

Our Maintenance Crews have worked hard over the weekend clearing parking lots again and Bullitt County Road Crews have done an amazing job clearing secondary roads! We normally don't make an announcement unless the there is a schedule change... but... after checking road conditions and consulting with the County Road Department and our Transportation department leadership... WE'LL SEE EVERYONE IN PERSON ON A REGULAR SCHEDULE TOMORROW!!!

Ms. Haire’s Sow & Grow class has been learning about the responsibilities of horse ownership including care, terminology, and financial challenges. On Wednesday, they visited Willow Hope Farm In Simpsonville. Willow Hope Farm is a rescue/adoption facility associated with the Kentucky Humane Society. They advocate for the welfare, safety, and ethical treatment of horses. Our students were able identify horse body language, practice safety, and identify colors and face/leg markings. Huge thank you to the staff and volunteers of Willow Hope Farm for making this a memorable and educational field trip for our students! 🐴
Our bobcats had the opportunity to participate in a virtual author visit with Alan Gratz today! He talked about his current and future books, the inspiration behind them, and spent time answering student questions about his inspriation and process.
