💙💚 It's almost time to welcome our Bruins back for another incredible school year! 💚💙 📝 School supply lists will be posted this Friday, so be sure to keep an eye on our social media pages for everything you'll need to get ready for the first day of school. As we count down to the start of the year, we're excited to welcome our newest Bruins to Cubs Camp! Cubs Camp gives incoming 6th graders a chance to get comfortable before school starts by exploring clubs, making new friends, practicing opening lockers, learning their way around the building, and more. Incoming 6th graders may attend ONE of the following four sessions: 🐻 Thursday, July 23 • 9:00–11:00 a.m. • 12:00–2:00 p.m. 🐻 Tuesday, July 28 • 9:00–11:00 a.m. • 12:00–2:00 p.m. 🚗 Students should be dropped off and picked up by a parent or guardian. We can't wait to welcome our newest Bruins at Cubs Camp and see all of our students back in the halls soon. It's going to be a great year! 💙💚 #GoBruins

We're excited to officially welcome Mrs. Cassady Beeny to the Bernheim Middle School teaching staff! Many of our students and families already know Mrs. Beeny from her work as our School Designated Guest Teacher during the 2025–2026 school year. This fall, she'll be joining our teaching team full-time, and we couldn't be happier to have her continue her journey at BMS. The Youth Services Center Coordinator Ms. Link is excited to partner with the Bullitt County Extension Office to provide summer "day camp" opportunities for BMS students! These camps are FREE for students and will take place at Bernheim Middle School. 💙🐻 Once a Bruin, always a Bruin! Bernheim Middle School is excited to welcome Mr. Calvin Bickett to our Special Education Department. A Bernheim alumnus, Mr. Bickett is returning to the school that helped shape his journey, and we couldn't be more excited to have him back. We know our students will benefit from his enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment to helping every learner succeed. Welcome home, Mr. Bickett! 💚

Our Bernheim team spent this week learning, leading, and celebrating at the Jostens Renaissance Global Conference—an event that brings together educators from across the world to share strategies for building positive school culture, strengthening student leadership, and improving academic achievement. We were proud to see Mrs. Bush accept Bernheim Middle School’s recognition as a 2026 Jostens Gold School of Distinction, an honor that reflects our commitment to creating a school where every student feels connected, celebrated, and supported. Mrs. Bush, Ms. Link, and Ms. Watkins also had the opportunity to present a breakout session highlighting the BMS CEOs, our student leadership team, and the impact student voice has on our school community. Most importantly, our Staffulty returned home inspired, bringing back countless ideas to continue strengthening the culture, climate, and academic success of Bruin Nation as we continue Creating a Legacy of Excellence for Every Student, Every Day. 💙💚🐻

💻BCPS Online Registration (OLR) for the 2026-2027 School Year

Online Registration (OLR) for the 2026-2027 school year officially opened on Monday, March 9.

Please note a significant update to this year’s OLR process: we will be requiring all registering existing families to upload a current Photo ID/Driver's License of Parent/Guardian with their current address and 2 proofs of residency.

This is a necessary step to ensure the accuracy of our enrollment records and to ensure we have updated addresses for all our families.

We encourage you to begin preparing your necessary residency documentation ahead of the registration opening date, which will be March 9th.

Below you will find a list of acceptable documents:
🪪 Current Photo ID/Driver’s License
📋2 - Proofs of Residency:
✔️Authentic home builder contract with approved district transfer, lease, closing statement, or other home dwelling document.
✔️Utility bill: Current electricity, gas or water bill with current address
✔️Current employee check stub with current address
✔️Current vehicle registration that matches the driver’s license submitted
✔️Government agency correspondence with current address
✔️Voter registration card

They've also raised money for water projects in Sudan, created a quilt for the state fair, and this week they're bringing history to life with a Renaissance fair. 🎪

BCPS Childhood Cancer Awareness Week is September 8th-12th with Spirit Days all week.

There will also be a Kick-off Event, Tonight, Friday, September 5th. Toy Drives will be at the NBHS VS BEHS Game AND BCHS VS Breckinridge Co. Game!

Requested donations are based on grade level.
6th-8th grades items:
Bluetooth Headphones, Books, Cards or Mini Games, Cozy Blankets, Crafts, Fidget Spinners, Fun Socks, Gift Cards (from Amazon, Kroger, Walmart, Visa, McDonald’s ($10) and Playstation ($10)), Personal Care Items (such as lotion,
