
Bruin Cheer Tryouts!
There will be 2 Tryout Clinics this week: March 27th & 29th from 5:30 to 7:30 in the BMS gym. All cheerleaders must have a sports physical on file with BMS in order to participate.

Due to transportation shortages we are still not allowing students to ride a bus to a friend's house. If the student's bus is not operating that day we may allow certain exceptions, if the students have a parent/guardian note and permission.

Ms. Korby's math 8 class tried a Break In room for the first time. They went through a series of Magic School Bus field trips to save Liz and review geometric transformations.





Congratulations to the February Leaders of the Month!
Bernheim Middle School is recognizing this group of students for exhibiting leadership qualities within the halls of BMS. Well Done, Bruins!!


BMS Band students participated in the KMEA performance evaluations yesterday. The band performed on stage for three judges. They received Proficient Overall, and just a few points away from distinguished. Great Job, Bruins! We are so proud of you!



Ms. Harrod's students in the Design and Modeling classes are working on designing foot orthosis for patients with cerebral palsy. They must train the patients foot to walk correctly and prevent them from going up on tiptoe.




This amazing group of archers continues to break records!! At the KY State tournament this past weekend, the BMS Archery Team was 3rd at Bullseye and runner up at 3D. Special shout-out to Jayden Kearney and Damien Finn. Jadyn was individual runner up at Bullseye and Middle School Boys Individual State Champion at 3D! Damian received a plaque for placing 4th at 3D. Both of these young men shot personal records this weekend which is hard to do in such a stressful environment!! This team has done amazing things this year!

BMS Students have worked very hard this year and have the BCPS Benchmark Assessment next week. The assessment is used to determine placement for the rest of this year and for next.
Chromebook and Charger should be at school with your student on Monday and Wednesday so they can complete the assessment without any interruptions.

Bernheim's own, Ms. Korby, presented at the KTSTE conference yesterday. Her session covered Edu Protocols to use for math students in MTSS/Intervention. Way to represent BMS, Ms. Korby! Excellent job!




BMS teacher, Ms. Bewley presented at the KYSTE conference yesterday with our DLC, Ms. Turbeville. They shared teaching strategies with other teachers. Ms. Bewley shared how to bring history alive for students with historical skits. Great job!
