No drivers for
Central: 987... 1290...1409... 1515...
East: 1950 and 2078
North: 1351 and 1407
East: Today is Ms. Megan's LAST DAY on bus 2143. Ms. Tara on bus 2182 will assist with 2143's route until further notice.
Last Day for Ms. Alura on bus 1409. (absent)

Beginning Monday, August 29th we will not have a driver staffed for bus 1409. To avoid making parents drive those students all the way to schools, we have developed a "Plan B" option as described in the following:
Bus 1652 will make stops ON Preston (Hwy 61) between Hwy 480 and Hwy 245. Forest Hill Rd and Newman Hill Rd along with any other streets off Preston will meet on the corner of that street and Preston. Students should expect to see 1652 approximately 6:00, 7:00, and 8:30 in the morning and parents can expect afternoon drop off for these stops around 2:30, 3:30, and 4:20.
Bus 1105 will take all 1409 students from Hwy 480, 6th & 7th Ave. Pick up and drop off locations and times should remain approximately the same as current for both pick up and drop off.
This will be the plan for all three school levels. In the event that 1105 becomes overcrowded for the Elementary run, the department will consider transferring Southside Christian Daycare to another bus.

Fridays are BMS Spirit Days! Wear your Bruin Gear to show your school spirit. House points will be awarded!

Congratulations to the BMS All-Star Students of the Week.

Ms. Schell's 7th grade science students practice identifying claims, evidence, and reasoning in scientific explanations.

Please welcome to our BMS Staffulty, Mrs. Lindsee Greenwell.
About Mrs. Greenwell: "I love to read, I love photography, I have two dogs that are absolutely my children and I love to make every day a musical!"

Mr. Carnes' students complete a team puzzle challenge. One student is blindfolded and must complete the puzzle. Their teammates must be Effective Communicators and guide them in completing the puzzle.

Algebra students explored the art of Sol LeWitt and figured out what growth pattern he used to make his art. Then we figured out how much of each resource he’d need to create specific steps of the art!

Ms. Harrod's students are working on their foot orthosis projects. They had to design and build a prototype for a patient with cerebral palsy that would prevent them from pointing their toe.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and we'd love to have folks participate in the 2nd Annual Children's Toy Drive! You can drop off new toys at the Mt. Washington firehouse the week of 8/29 or at the BEHS vs NBHS Football Game on 9/2 at BEHS. #MovingForward

Ms. Watkins’s class works on being effective communicators. Classmates shared presentations about their likes and interests in order to build classroom community.

If your student needs a transportation change for the day, you need to contact the school by 2:30 to make changes.

Ms. Korby's Mathematicians are hard at work from Day 1. They participated in a sudoku-like game activity where they created 5 rows and 5 columns with a sum of 31 to work on collaborative norms and growth mindset.
