As adults, this looks like a basic task. But to a first grader, using scissors takes a great deal of concentration. Students in first grade practiced their fine motor skills while reviewing expectations for scissor safety.

Welcome
Let's give a big BCPS welcome to Ms. Heather Brewer Allen, our new District Instructional Coach!✨

A familiar face in our district, Heather brings 15 years of dedicated experience to her new role. Many of you know her from her time as an elementary teacher or, most recently, as the Reading and Math Interventionist at Nichols Elementary. We are so excited to have her share her passion and expertise across the district.

Please join the entire BCPS team in congratulating Heather as she transitions into her new position supporting Lebanon Junction Elementary School. Welcome aboard, Heather!🧡

Tomorrow is field day! Despite the recent rain, we will have a loads of fun! Below are some reminders for tomorrow. -Bring a towel. -Bring an extra set of clothing including extra shoes. All classes will visit the splash pad, but also, the field is going to be wet from recent rain. Students will likely want to change clothes after playing in the wet grass. -Bring a water bottle. -Sunscreen (if needed) should be applied at home. We are not permitted to apply sunscreen on students.
