As adults, this looks like a basic task. But to a first grader, using scissors takes a great deal of concentration. Students in first grade practiced their fine motor skills while reviewing expectations for scissor safety.

Eligible Locations: Brooks Elementary, Cedar Grove Elementary, Crossroads Elementary, Freedom Elementary, Lebanon Junction Elementary, Maryville Elementary, Nichols Elementary, Overdale Elementary, Roby Elementary, Shepherdsville Elementary, Bullitt Lick Middle School, Bernheim Middle School, Zoneton Middle School.
In order to maintain this program and support critical school funding, each family is still required to complete a Household Income Form (HIF). This form ensures we have accurate data to continue receiving important resources that benefit all students.
📝 Please take a moment to fill out the HIF online by scanning the QR code on the flyer or visiting this link.

Let's give a big BCPS welcome to Ms. Heather Brewer Allen, our new District Instructional Coach!✨
A familiar face in our district, Heather brings 15 years of dedicated experience to her new role. Many of you know her from her time as an elementary teacher or, most recently, as the Reading and Math Interventionist at Nichols Elementary. We are so excited to have her share her passion and expertise across the district.
Please join the entire BCPS team in congratulating Heather as she transitions into her new position supporting Lebanon Junction Elementary School. Welcome aboard, Heather!🧡

Tomorrow is field day! Despite the recent rain, we will have a loads of fun! Below are some reminders for tomorrow.
-Bring a towel.
-Bring an extra set of clothing including extra shoes. All classes will visit the splash pad, but also, the field is going to be wet from recent rain. Students will likely want to change clothes after playing in the wet grass.
-Bring a water bottle.
-Sunscreen (if needed) should be applied at home. We are not permitted to apply sunscreen on students.

Our lost and found has grown and grown and grown. We have tried to match as many items with owners as possible but it just keeps growing. If you know your child is missing a jacket, coat, sweatshirt, hoodie, glasses, or any other clothing item, please stop by the office anytime 8:30am-4:30pm to take a look. Any items not claimed by the end of next week will be donated to charity.

Celebrations are our favorite! Great job to these Bulldogs for all their hard work, grit, and positive relationships with others.
Paisley and Cameron work hard every day, and were drawn as the winners of a bicycle for their efforts.
Avery, Preston, Lexi and Royal work every day to reach goals and learn at high levels.
