Dear LJES Families,

After nine wonderful years serving as principal of Lebanon Junction Elementary, I have accepted a new position within our district and will be transitioning into the role of Director of Preschool and Specialized Learning.

This decision was not easy because this school has become much more than a workplace—it has become a community and a second family. I have had the privilege of watching students learn, grow, and achieve great things, and I am grateful for the trust and support you have given me throughout the years. The relationships I have built with students, families, staff, and community members will always hold a special place in my heart.

While I am excited for this new opportunity to serve students across our district, leaving LJES is bittersweet. I am incredibly proud of all that we have accomplished together and confident that our school will continue to thrive because of the dedication of our staff, families, and community.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your children's educational journey. It has truly been one of the greatest honors of my career. I will always cherish my time here and will continue to cheer for the success of this amazing school community.

With gratitude,

Daniel Mullins, Principal

Unfortunately, due to expected weather conditions, we will be moving Field Day indoors tomorrow. Since activities will be held throughout the building and indoor space is limited, we are unable to allow visitors or volunteers at this time. We know this may be disappointing, but student safety and supervision are our top priorities. Thank you for your understanding and support as we make the best of the day for our students!

We are down to our last few days of school for this school year so the Bulldog Bark has changed to a listing of school events to keep everyone on the same page. We are also still registering for next school year! If you have not yet registered, please do so as students cannot be added to a class list for next year until they are registered. https://app.smore.com/n/3zaj1

Tomorrow is the final day of our fundraiser for Crusade for Children and we are hoping to smash our goal for this worthy cause. Every penny, nickel, dime and quarter - and of course every bill - is helping to change the lives of children in our area. Thank you for helping us show our support!

We need your help! Please take a few moments to register your child for next year. Our office staff don't work all summer, so we would love to get as many processed as possible before the office closes for the summer. Details and more can be found in this week's Bulldog Bark at the link below.

Being a great friend and person is the single most important thing and Thomas has demonstrated that he is exactly that. When a peer was struggling with the change in routine and noise level on picture day, Thomas stepped up to help keep him calm and make sure he felt safe. Way to go, Thomas!
