🏆✨ Another congratulations to our 4th/5th grade girls basketball team for an undefeated season and winning the City Championship! 🏀 These young athletes showed determination, teamwork, and grit all season long, and we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishment. 🌟 A special thank you to Schmid Funeral Home for generously donating the first-place medals for our players—your support means the world to us and made this moment even more memorable. The Academic Team had a scrimmage on Wednesday, January 15th with 3 other elementary schools. The results for MWES were looking bright. Below you will see the great accomplishments. We finished the week off celebrating Ms. Holm's bunch for their success in the iReady challenge. They were the 4th grade team winning class with the most growth. We couldn't be more proud of their hard work and effort. Fantastic job - the admin loved getting time to reward you!

Mrs. Ecshner's class enjoyed their extra recess for winning the kindergarten grade level growth challenge. We are so proud of their hard work and effort. Our students are the BEST. The admin loved celebrating with them.

This girl was doing an amazing job transitioning to the lunchroom. She had hands to self, a quiet voice and walking feet. She was excelling at all the expectations and earned a "caught you coin" to spend at the book vending machine. Way to go Elaynah!

Yeah- that bus is moving on down the road. It will stop at 45k cans and with all your help with fly right on to 60k cans. The 3rd grade team celebrated this benchmark with pencil toppers provided by our partnership with Tri-Arrows Aluminum. They have helped make collecting cans even more exciting! The 3rd grade says THANKS to all who have supported their contest . We are just under a 1/3 of the way from our goal. Keep bringing in your cans and asking family and friends to save their cans too! #YourCanCounts♻️

It was another great time today celebrating with the Mrs. Perry's class. They were the 3rd grade class with the highest percentage of growth on the iReady assessment. We are so proud of all their hard work and effort!! Sure was a good time for the admin and kiddos!

This smile shows how proud Kellen is for earning a "caught you coin"! He was standing quietly and waiting patiently as he was in line for his bus. So today he had the chance to pick out a book from the book vending machine. Way to go!!

We normally don't make an announcement unless the there is a schedule change... but... after checking road conditions and consulting with the County Road Department and our Transportation department leadership... WE'LL SEE EVERYONE IN PERSON ON A REGULAR SCHEDULE TOMORROW!!!

The New Year has been a time to continue with our recycling efforts. The bin is all set and ready. Thanks to St. Francis Xavier for allowing us to set up bins at their NYE event and collecting cans. Thanks to our family and friends who saved their cans which were picked up or dropped at school. This is a very exciting start to 2025! Fact: Aluminum Cans are the Most Recycled beverage container. The last picture is what happens to your recycled cans at the scrapyard which are then sold to aluminum manufactures and eventually sent back onto the shelf for purchase. Remember any student bringing cans on Wednesday(or the first day back) gets a prize! #YourCanCounts♻️
