♻️🦸♂️ Help our school start the new year strong by recycling with us! 🦸♀️♻️
This is a friendly reminder to save your empty aluminum beverage cans! Cans can be dropped off at school or sent in with students next week as we continue our Million Cans Recycling effort.
As a reminder, unwanted or broken Christmas lights can also be brought to school to be recycled. Lights only please.
Our third graders are leading the way as our Recycling Superheroes, and they need everyone’s help to keep the momentum going. Every can counts!
Thank you for supporting our students and helping make a positive impact on our environment! 🌎💚

♻️🎉 30,000 CANS RECYCLED! 🎉♻️
We are excited to celebrate a big milestone in the Million Can Recycling Contest , our school has officially reached 30,000 cans recycled!
Thanks to the hard work and enthusiasm of our third graders and recycling team, we hit two major goals along the way. Students earned finger puppets at 15,000 cans and have now received slap bracelets to celebrate reaching 30,000 cans. A big thank you to Tri-Arrows for providing the prizes and helping make this experience fun and rewarding for our students!
More than just prizes, this milestone represents teamwork, responsibility, and a growing understanding of how small actions can make a big impact. Our students are learning what it means to care for the environment and contribute positively to their school and community.
We have great momentum going and hope, with everyone’s continued support, to keep the energy strong as we work toward our next goal. Thank you to our students, staff, families, and community partners for helping make this success possible!
Let’s keep recycling and rolling down the road together! ♻️🚍

♻️ Learning, Leadership, and Community Impact! ♻️
Our students recently participated in a recycling lesson through our partnership with Tri-Arrows, and their learning truly made an impact! Students learned how aluminum cans are recycled, from being collected and crushed to being melted into ingot blocks and reused again and again. Many were amazed to learn that aluminum can be recycled over and over, helping reduce waste and protect our environment.
Even more powerful was what students shared about being on our Recycling Team. They talked about how proud they feel helping the Earth, working as a team, teaching younger students about recycling, and making a difference in our school and community. Whether sorting cans, tracking totals, sharing announcements, or leading by example, our students are growing as responsible, engaged community members.
We are grateful to Tri-Arrows for providing real-world learning experiences that inspire our students to care for the environment and take action. ♻️💚

CANS! CANS! CANS! - that is the tune we were hearing this morning. Our can crew including, Steven, Erin, Thomas, Jenna and family members jumped in to get it done. A community friend reached out and this team responded. From hauling cans from the garage to fill the vehicles to dumping the cans in the bin, this group worked hard. Thanks to all involved which filled the bin to the top!! This was super exciting so let's keep the cans coming!

Brielle was my Adventures with Adams friend today. She chose to build a bunny rabbit that she named Bubble Nickel. I just love the creativity and fun when students choose to spend their earned points on this item. It shows they have been working hard and making good choices!
