We Didn't Win- But We Definitely Made a Difference! 🌎♥️
While we didn't take home the top prize in the recycling contest, we're incredibly proud of our students, staff, families, and community for coming together and collecting an amazing number of cans! We did well surpass our school goal of 150k cans with a total of 276,745 cans. This earned the 3rd graders their mystery prize: a super hero-themed Silent Disco, compliments of our partnership with Tri-Arrows Aluminum.♻️
Your efforts helped keep waste out of landfills, raised awareness of recycling and showed the power of teamwork and community.

It has been an amazing week sharing Adventures with Adams and Can Crushing with some amazing kids. It ranged from UNO and Switch Challenges to swishing some hoops. Some time was spent using our creative skills to paint a unique design on a rock. And ended the week in the sun crushing cans to add to our recycling bin. It doesn't get much better than this!!Thanks to this bunch of kiddos for choosing to spend their earned points in this way!!

Each May, National Speech-Language-Hearing Month provides an opportunity to raise awareness about communication disorders and the role of American Speech-Language-Hearing Association members in providing life-altering treatment. Mrs. Combs, our Speech-Language Pathologist here at MWES, would like to participate in raising awareness by sharing information with our families each week this month. This week she is sharing the link below which will take you to a website with activities to encourage speech and language development.
