This weekend, our MWES Archery Team kicked off the season with an incredible start! Our Blue Team brought home 1st place, and our Yellow Team proudly earned 3rd place at our very first tournament of the year.

We are so proud of our archers for their focus, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the competition. A huge thank you to our coaches and families for their dedication and support—it’s going to be an amazing season ahead for our Braves Archery Team!

🌊♻️ Exciting Visitors for Our 3rd Graders! ♻️🌊

Yesterday our 3rd grade classes had a fin-tastic visit from Scuba Jess, the author of The Girl Who Recycled 1 Million Cans and the Executive Director of the Million Cans Recycling Contest! 🐠🐢

Scuba Jess read her book to the class as well as shared her underwater adventures. She showed incredible photos of the sea creatures she meets while diving, and reminded students that every can recycled helps make an animal smile! 🐬💙

Joining her was a member from Tri-Arrows Aluminum, our amazing partner in the MWES Aluminum Beverage Can Recycling Contest. Their teamwork and passion for protecting our planet inspired our students to keep making a big splash in recycling!

Let’s keep up the great work, MWES — every can counts! 🌎✨

One of the best parts of the day is spending time with "Adventures with Adams". This week Harper and Alivia spent their points and made big Smiles! They were such problem solvers as we took on the challenge of building Lego creations! These turned out amazing!

Thanks to Kendall for purchasing Adventures with Adams. She chose to follow this year's theme of Dream It, Build It, Be it by building a flower design made from Lego's. It sure provided a challenge but the successful result created BIG smiles. 😊

The MWES choir performed for the community at Harvest Homecoming! It began with the singing of the National Anthem. Followed by additional tunes and ended with a popular song from the Lego movie that had spectators on their feet! 🎵🎤

The recycling bins were running over. A great problem to have, but lucky to have Ellie and Nash as recycling helpers! Keep bringing in aluminum beverage cans so we can reach the 2000 can goal by the end of October for an ice cream party!
