Students experienced what it was like to develop a governing document during the Mars Mayflower Compact Simulation in Mrs. Lurie's Social Studies classes. Similar to the Pilgrims on the original Mayflower, students had to work together to create a governing document that would help them survive as well as protect critical rights. Job well done 8th graders! #ForTheMount

No school Monday for the Labor Day holiday. There will be no school on Tuesday for Bullitt Day. Students will return to school on Wednesday, September 9.

Open gym dates for MWMS Volleyball have been set. If your student is interested in the team, make plans to attend these open gyms.

Who Killed Mrs. Talley? 8th Grade Language Arts students worked on collecting evidence to solve a murder mystery.... Working together to piece together the clues.

Hopefully they solved the mystery.

Students are knocking it out of the park at MWMS when it comes to reading!

Students are using Beanstack to log their reading and Ms. Johnston and her classes were recognized today with their own "Benny" for CRUSHING it this year!

MWMS will be taking part in the BCPS Childhood Cancer Awareness Week taking place next week, the week of August 31. There are fun dress days for each day to raise awareness of childhood cancer.

Also, we will be collecting snack items. These will turn into Crew leaders.

Students in Ms. Greenwell's and Mrs. Hoben’s 8th grade Science class worked in Snorkl to talk about DNA structures!
