One of our most frequently asked questions is: **What school supplies does my high school student need?**
Because high school students have unique schedules and different classes, specific supply lists will be provided on each class syllabus on the first day of school.
For the first day, students should come prepared with:

A couple of our students spent the year working at Kona Ice to build important job and life skills. Today, they surprised our class with snow cones as a thank you! We are so proud of the growth, hard work, and confidence they’ve shown throughout this experience.

Tonight we hosted a special Spanish graduation ceremony for our Latino families. Mrs. Delgado does an incredible job organizing this meaningful celebration for our students and their families each year. We are proud to honor their journey, celebrate their accomplishments, and recognize the support and sacrifices that helped them reach this milestone.

The stage is set. The chairs are out. The seats are just waiting for our graduates. We can’t wait to celebrate the Class of 2026 at our graduation ceremony this Friday! 🎓🦅

One last field day before graduation day. From friendly competition to lots of laughs, our seniors are soaking up every final moment together. These are the days they’ll remember forever. 🦅

Eight BCPS seniors sat down for the latest Beyond the Bell episode to reflect on their K-12 journey: from the advice they'd give their kindergarten selves to the teachers who showed up when it mattered most.
The wisdom they shared? Journal the moments because time moves fast. Respect your teachers even when it's hard. Don't worry about making friends, you'll meet more people than you ever thought you could. And never underestimate the power of a chicken patty Tuesday.
These graduates didn't just move through BCPS. They navigated it with intention. They set goals, leaned on mentors, and owned their path from kindergarten to commencement. They looked back and knew exactly how they got here.
This is what it looks like to be a Self-Directed Navigator. Not just surviving K-12, but reflecting on the journey and recognizing the people and moments that shaped it.
