Biology students are extracting DNA from strawberries today! 🍓🧬

Today in AP Statistics, students dug into determining the sampling distribution of a population parameter — exploring how sample data helps us make reliable conclusions about a larger group. 📊

This week we celebrated our students who earned A/B Honor Roll with a special breakfast in their honor! 🦅 We are incredibly proud of our Eagles for setting goals, working hard, and achieving this milestone. Keep soaring — your dedication and effort show every day! 🎉📚

In honor of Valentine’s Day, our staff took part in a fun Love Match challenge today! ❤️ Staff members were each given a character and had to find their perfect match around the building. Lots of laughs, teamwork, and great conversations along the way.
A fun way to build connection and spread a little extra joy across campus — Happy Valentine’s Day from our NBHS team! 💕

Track tryouts are Feb. 17-18 from 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM. Any student wanting to join the track needs to have the QR code completed and have a hard copy of their sports physical sent to Coach Minnis or Coach Mink by Tuesday.
We are excited to introduce our new FRYSC Ms. Julia Zuhars!
My name is Julia Zuhars, and I am the new Youth Services Center Coordinator. I am so excited and honored to join the North Bullitt community. I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and from the University of the Cumberlands with a Master’s degree in Education in School Counseling. I previously taught 7th and 8th grade language arts and love working to help students create writing pieces to express themselves. However, my true passion is helping students! As the YSC I will strive to bridge the gaps in services, create opportunities, and provide support that students need to succeed in and out of the classroom. Outside of school, I have been spending most of my time planning a wedding! I also enjoy crafting and spending time with my friends and family. I look forward to meeting everyone, GO EAGLES!

Today our teachers stepped into the role of students as they continued building their skills and understanding with Prisms VR. They explored engaging, real-world problem-solving lessons in both math and science and experienced firsthand how immersive learning can deepen student thinking and engagement. We can’t wait to get our new headsets into the hands of our students and see this learning come to life in our classrooms! 🦅 #EveryEagleEveryDay

Lettuce celebrate an incredible farm-to-fork collaboration between the North Bullitt Agricultural Education and Culinary Pathways! 🥬✨
Students in Mr. Logan’s Principles of Agriculture class harvested 50 pounds of lettuce grown right in their own classroom. What began as a hands-on plant science project quickly turned into a real-world learning experience. Chef Roby’s Culinary students then stepped in to properly wash, prep, and handle the lettuce, practicing industry-standard food safety and preparation skills.
FFA and FCCLA members worked alongside the North Bullitt Cafeteria Staff to transform that classroom-grown lettuce into fresh salads, which were proudly served to North Bullitt students during lunch. This collaboration showcased the full journey of food—from seed to service—while highlighting the power of cross-curricular learning and student leadership.
Through this experience, our students served as…
🗣️ Effective Communicators by coordinating across pathways, organizations, and cafeteria staff to ensure a smooth harvest, preparation, and service process.
📘 Mastery Learners by applying classroom instruction in agriculture, culinary arts, and food systems to a real-world, meaningful outcome.
💛 Community Contributors by providing fresh, locally grown food to their peers and demonstrating how school programs can positively impact the broader school community.

📣 Job Shadow Day is tomorrow!
Students with an approved EHO form are excused to attend their job shadow placement. If a student did not submit an EHO, they should be at school — we have meaningful and fun career-focused activities ready for them. It’s going to be a great day of learning and exploration!

Thank you so much to everyone that submitted EHOs for tomorrow's Job Shadow day. If you missed the deadline our AMAZING Attendance Clerk has agreed to accept digital copies until 3PM today. You can complete the EHO and email it to her at Brittany.beller@bullitt.kyschools.us

Do we have any former students or community members who would be willing to serve as guest speakers this Friday morning from 7:30–10:45 AM at NBHS?
We’re hosting our Job Shadow Day, where students are excused to explore careers of interest. For those unable to participate off campus, we’d love for them to hear directly from professionals about their career paths.
Guest speakers would present to three different classes during the 3-hour window.
If you’re interested, please email lindsey.wegley@bullitt.kyschools.us

Our HOSA students were incredible community contributors today as they visited our elementary classrooms to teach dental health and hygiene! 🦷
Through hands-on activities and engaging lessons, they helped younger students learn the importance of brushing, flossing, and building healthy habits early. We’re proud to see our students leading, teaching, and giving back in ways that make a real impact.
Great job to our HOSA members for representing our school and serving as true community contributors!

HOSA students working with the Bullitt County Health Department to teach elementary students about dental health. They also couldn’t resist a trip down the slide! 🦅#EveryEagleEveryDay

No internet, no problem! Mrs. Seawright's students are participating in a hands on inquiry lab about the digestive system. 🦅 #EveryEagleEveryDay
