Old Mill Elementary is proud to celebrate Mrs. Joiner, Mrs. Thompson, and Mrs. Reibert for presenting at the Kentucky Association of School Administrators (KASA) Conference this week!
Their session highlighted the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and the intentional systems Old Mill has developed to ensure every student receives the support they need to thrive. The presentation provided an opportunity to share the school's work with educational leaders from across Kentucky while also learning from innovative practices happening throughout the state.
Old Mill is grateful for the opportunity to represent Bullitt County Public Schools and share the collaborative work happening each day to support students, staff, and families.

Mrs. Troutman recently represented Old Mill Elementary at the Next Gen Leadership Academy, where she was selected as one of three teachers from across Kentucky, representing the elementary level, to share what vibrant learning looks like in action.
She shared her journey of bringing vibrant learning to life in her classroom and highlighted how the support and conditions at both the school and district levels have helped make that work possible.

Koala Grad Profile in Action! Ruby and Leo took a step back in time during their visit to a Dutch Village, where they explored the rich history, traditions, and innovation behind Dutch culture. They learned about klompens (wooden clogs) and discovered why wood became the practical choice for footwear centuries ago. Through hands-on problem-solving activities, they experienced the challenges of making wooden shoes and even learned that many farmers still wear them today, with some decorated for special occasions.
Their adventure also included discovering how traditional stroopwafels are made and how this beloved treat has been passed down through generations while adapting to modern tools and techniques. From exploring history and culture to thinking critically and experiencing traditions firsthand, Ruby and Leo showed what it means to be Mastery Learners and Innovative Problem Solvers.
We love seeing our Koalas learning far beyond the classroom and discovering the world around them!

Online registration is open for ALL students, both new and returning families!
✅ Every student must complete online registration before they can be placed on a class list for the upcoming school year. Completing registration early helps us finalize class placements, staffing, transportation, and prepare for a successful start to the year.

This group of amazing Koalas (and one future Kindergarten Koala! 🐨💙) recently competed at Dance Nationals in Fort Walton Beach, where they put our Graduate Profile into action.
💗 Productive Collaborators – They encouraged one another, worked as a team, and celebrated each other’s successes every step of the way.
💚 Mastery Learners – Months of practice, perseverance, and dedication helped them master their routines and perform on the national stage.
We are so proud to see our students taking the skills they build at Old Mill beyond the classroom and into their passions. Whether they’re competing, creating, serving, exploring, or learning something new, our Koalas continue to show what it means to be lifelong learners.

🚗 Pick-Up: Students will be dismissed through our car rider line. We will be practicing this routine with students throughout camp, so please display your car rider tag in your front windshield where staff can easily see it.
👟 What to Wear: Please send your child in play clothes and tennis shoes so they can comfortably participate in all of our activities.
