The Book Fair is coming! This week is a great time to set up your child's ewallet so they are ready to shop. The Scholastic ewallet is our preferred method of payment and keeps kids from having to keep up with cash. Our second annual Title 1 Drive In Cinema and Car Show is TONIGHT! We hope you are joining us for a night of student made cars, reading resources, refreshments and a hilarious movie. The movie starts at dusk (around 7:45 pm). Parents may bring a chair and cash for refreshments.
We celebrated Dot Day in library this week by reading The Dot by Peter H Reynolds. Some of the classes drew dots in lots of different ways while others saw their dots in 3-D! We celebrated creativity, imagination, and encouragement. Look at those excited faces!

Last week third graders learned about the events of 9/11 in Social Studies. They also learned that 9/11 has been deemed as a National Day of Service across the country. Families donated treats so we could assemble goodie bags for our local police officers. Mrs. Taylor delivered these gifts to the police department last week. Then, the students got a huge surprise this week - the whole police platoon paid a visit to the third graders to show their gratitude. They answered tons of questions from our inquisitive students. What a great experience!
