Today is School Resource Officer (SRO) Appreciation day! Officer Johnson works with our students to build relationships and show students that police officers are people too! While many interactions with police can be during scary or intense situations, Officer Johnson likes to show that you can have positive interactions with police as well.

This week, we are also recognizing all that our Family Resource Center does to make sure our students have everything they need, every day. An assortment of programs this year have provided students with hygiene bags, books, hats, gloves, headphones, backpacks, school supplies, underwear, more books, food bags, Thanksgiving/Christmas food boxes, shoes, MORE books, pajamas, blankets, nightlights, and even more books! Upcoming programs will provide dental and vision screenings, mentoring groups, and community support as we prepare for next school year! Whew, that feels like a lot, and we've barely scratched the surface of all the FRC and Ms. Traci Gould, and her invaluable volunteers, do for our Stingrays everyday!
