Bullitt County Public Schools is proud to announce the appointment of Josh Lightle as the next principal of Bullitt East High School. Mr. Lightle brings a wealth of experience in educational leadership, curriculum development, and student support to his new role.

Mr. Lightle comes to Bullitt East from Pleasure Ridge Park (PRP) High School in the Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) district, where he has served as Assistant Principal since July 2022. His leadership extended to the Instructional Leadership Team, the school's budget, and the supervision and evaluation of staff.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new position, Mr. Lightle said, "I am honored and excited for my family to join the Bullitt East High School community. It’s a privilege to get the opportunity to lead a school with such a strong tradition of excellence. I look forward to building on that tradition by supporting our students, empowering our staff, and working together with families to ensure every Charger has the opportunity to thrive and succeed. I’m proud to be part of Bullitt East High School and eager to begin this new chapter."

Prior to his role as Assistant Principal, Mr. Lightle was an Academy Coach at PRP High School, where he was responsible for the supervision of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and was integral in implementing the Academies of Louisville model. His experience also includes seven years as a high school teacher.

Bullitt East High School looks forward to a new era of leadership and growth under the guidance of Mr. Lightle.
