The Maryville Elementary Green Team for the 2024-2025 school year has received national honors for their exceptional project on water pollution. The student group was named the Kentucky Elementary Level School of the Year by The National Energy Education Development (NEED) Project.
Titled "MES Water Savers," the year-long project was fueled by the students' dedication, creativity, and extensive research into protecting water sources. Their hard work culminated in a successful and impactful initiative.
As a reward for their achievement, the team traveled to Washington D.C. to attend the 45th Annual Youth Awards Ceremony. We are so proud of the students and staff members of this team; way to shine brightly!
