EXCHANGE THE ORDINARY FOR A HOST OF MEMORIES ❤️
One of our very own substitute teachers, Tammy Hall, is a host Family and a local coordinator with international experience, a nonprofit high school exchange program. The picture is Tammy with a student she hosted last year, Javi from Spain. He graduated from BE in 2024.
She is looking for other families in the community, willing to open their heart and home to their own exchange student for the upcoming school year. These students have gone through an extensive application process, now all they need is a family to welcome them…CAN YOU HELP??
For more information, text Tammy at 502-724-4623 or email her at t.hall@ie-usa.org.

The Coast Guard came in to speak to Ms. Nunn's Law Enforcement classes to explain the requirements and different jobs you can be trained to do. They talked about the benefits and the adventures that you get to experience in the Coast Guard and that entry can happen at 18 years old.
Bullitt East has a driving simulator that students are able to use with scenarios specific to law enforcement calls that emphasize safe driving and police procedures

Brodie Curtsinger '22, is currently the photography editor for WKU's award winning Talisman and a summer intern for Evansville Living magazine. He came back Thursday May 15 to talk to media arts students about his journey and how to boost their photography skills.

Online registration needs to be completed ASAP. Registration must be complete to get a parking pass, pick up your CB, or play sports.

Let's celebrate National Receptionist Day!

Take a look at this amazing class experience! Seniors in our Health Science program participated in a 12 week telehealth program with Squads Abroad. Squads Abroad provides opportunities for underserved communities to have access to free healthcare through local clinics. Throughout the program students learned about healthcare disparities in Honduras, Ghana, and Greece and were able to experience a live in clinic in each country. Today students participated in a live clinic in Athens Greece that focuses on caring for child refugees. Great job Ms. Godbold! #ChargerNation # Unrivaled

This is a very important issue, and the district is encouraging families to attend.

WHAT IF I TOLD YOU, YOU COULD EXPERIENCE A NEW CULTURE ALL FROM THE COMFORTS OF YOUR OWN HOME??
My name is Tammy Hall and I am a Local Coordinator with International Experience, it is my responsibility to find local families interested in hosting high school exchange students from countries such as Germany, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Thailand, and many more. It is impossible for me to find these families on my own, so that's where you come in...Maybe you'd be interested in hosting yourself, maybe you know someone who would be interested, or maybe you can just help to spread the word to people you know, organizations you are a part of...and yes, we do offer a referral fee!
I have lived in Mt Washington since 1990, both of my boys went through the school system and played sports here, and I am currently a substitute teacher for BCPS. I am also coming up on my 3rd year of hosting an exchange student myself. I can personally say, it is an AMAZING experience! And the BCPS schools are phenomenal in welcoming these students.
Host families come in all shapes and sizes…traditional families with and without children, single parents, singles, empty-nesters, untraditional families, and active seniors.
I want to make the dream of these students a reality...Can you help me??? Most people are a little hesitant and have questions, I'd love to talk. You can call or text me at 502-724-4623 or email me at t.hall@ie-usa.org

It has been brought to our attention that there's a scam email which appears to come from the BCPS Superintendent. See below, the message received from a parent over the weekend and warn your student to be cautious.
"My daughter (****************) is a student at Bullitt East. She received a scam email today that appeared to come from the BCPS superintendent. Not realizing it was a phishing attempt, she clicked the hyperlink and filled out the info which included a request for bank information.
I wanted to make you aware of this incident to prevent other students from being deceived and potentially having their information compromised by these scammers posing as a BCPS administrator. In case it’s helpful, I’ve attached a screenshot of the email which disappeared shortly after she opened it."
