Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to welcome our Chargers back to Bullitt East High School tomorrow! Our staff has been eagerly preparing for the return of students, and we are looking forward to reconnecting with them and beginning the next chapter of the school year together. We hope everyone had a restful break and is ready to get back into the routines of school!
We recognize that after two weeks away from this daily school routine, the first day back can feel like a big adjustment for students. To help tomorrow go as smoothly as possible, we wanted to share a few important reminders and expectations.
Devices:
Please make sure to have students charge their chromebooks tonight so they are ready for use tomorrow at school.
I’m sure a lot of our students got some awesome gifts over the break, some of those gifts may be against the device policy. Our device expectations will remain in effect. This includes cell phones, smart watches, AirPods or other wireless earbuds, smart glasses, and anything that sends or receives a text message. While we will show some grace and do our best to reteach expectations, we want to remind all students that devices should not be used during the school day. Reinforcing this at home will help ensure that we set students up for a successful return.
Arrival and Dismissal:
We ask for your patience during drop-off and pick-up times as students settle back into routines. Please follow all traffic patterns and staff directions to ensure the safety of our students, families, and staff. Planning for a few extra minutes tomorrow will go a long way in keeping things running smoothly.
We are grateful to partner with you all to support your kids. Together, we can ensure that students return feeling supported, focused, and ready to learn. Thank you for helping us make the first day back a positive and successful one for everyone.
Welcome 2026!
Mr. Lightle

Makayla Meyer took charge of the Christmas Door decorations for the Law Enforcement Pathway……each piece of the door was hand drawn by her to depict a LE them to the song “Friends in Low Places”! She rocked it and while the door came in 2nd in our competition, it’s a definite winner for all of her work and effort! I am super proud of this senior and am blessed to have had her in my room for all four years in HS!!
