Freedom Elementary School

Last week, we were celebrating going green and this week we are growing green. Our 5th grade students are growing winter vegetables and learning about decimals at the same time! They designed and planted this week. Mrs. Pike (our local garden expert) helped them figure out how far apart and how deep to plant the seeds. Later, our crops will be for sale. Keep an eye out for these budding gardeners and stay tuned for updates on when their winter crops will be available for purchase! 🪏🪴🫜

Happy Friday! We hope you enjoy the wonderful weekend.

Learning math through hands-on fun! Mrs. Dunning’s class used clinic time to practice multiplication, test their place value knowledge, and explore some new games! 🎲✏️➗

Our 3rd graders put their innovative problem solving skills to the test! They designed and built a house that could withstand high winds. 🏡💨

When it came time to test their builds with a fan, only two houses remained standing! 🏆 Hats off to these future engineers for testing, learning, and having a blast along the way! 💡👏

⭐️📸Spotlight Saturday📸⭐️ Step back in time with our 5th graders at their Colonial Museum!🕰️🏛️ Our students brought history to life by writing narratives from the perspective of a colonial child traveling from Europe to one of the 13 colonies. They then created dioramas showcasing their chosen colony and wrote scripts to step into their character as museum exhibits! We’re so proud of these young historians!
