Congratulations to bicycle winners! These students work hard, show respect, and follow all school expectations. Congrats to Eli, Chrissy, and Ericka!

Congrats to Tyler C, Kandi B., Carson W., and Emma W.

In case you have seen the emergency vehicles in front of the school: We had a student with a medical emergency. All students are safe.

The 5th grade band rental night scheduled for tomorrow has been changed.
It is now scheduled for Tuesday, May 17th from 6-8pm in the Bernheim Middle School library.

All we can say is WOW! Last week, the Lebanon Junction Fire Department partnered with LJES to collect money for Crusade for Children. We just got the final numbers…….after collecting for 4 days, our students and families raised $3,318.16. That’s incredible!
Ms. Olive’s third grade class collected the most money (over $1,300) and will receive an ice cream party with the firefighters.
Thank you to our families for supporting Crusade for Children in such a powerful way!

Tomorrow begins state testing for grades 4 and 5. We are so proud of our students and their progress this year. We encourage you to have your child get a good night's sleep, eat breakfast (either at home or at school), and come prepared with a positive attitude ready to show what they have learned.

Bus 1663 will NOT be running this afternoon. We will assume these students will be car riders. If you would like to request another mode of transportation or add a person to your pick up list, please call the front office. 869.2200

No internet? No problem! LJES hasn’t had internet (or phones) for two days but that hasn’t stopped our learning. After being on our computers for the last couple years with NTI and online learning, it’s been nice to briefly go back to non-digital learning. #BCPSMovingForward

Bud 1492 is running late due to being stuck behind a train and is just now leaving our lot.

It's time to register for the 2022-2023 school year! Log in to your Parent Portal and enroll for the upcoming year! If your child is a current BCPS student, their information must be updated in IC yearly in order for their enrollment to be effective for next school year.

Fifth graders participated in an interactive virtual field trip today with presenters from Washington, D.C. who taught about the Constitution and the Capitol. What a great experience!

We failed to post our pictures from the first grade literacy night last week. What a great night listening to our authors share their writing with an authentic audience.

What a great literacy night for our first grade team! Our authors shared a piece they have recently written and were so excited to have an authentic audience to hear their writing.
