Lots of kind messages in the halls at Old Mill today!
This week's student spotlight goes out to the 3rd grade students. "During recess, a student lost a very important item. 3rd grade students immediately stopped playing and started looking for the lost item. When the item was found, so many students checked in with the student to make sure he felt better and was okay. 3rd grade students show empathy and kindness in so many ways! This was just one of many examples of how amazing this group of students are. " Great job Koalas!
Day two of Kindness Week was a hit! We celebrated Valentine’s Day, dressed head to toe in pink & red, and sprinkled kind messages all over the school! We love Kindness Week at OMES!
This weeks community spotlight goes out to The Local Press Coffee. They have partnered with our PTO for kindness week. They donated coffee sleeves for our students to decorate with kind messages, be sure to check out The Local Press Coffee to get a very special coffee. Thank you so much for your partnership.
Students showed off their crazy socks for their Crazy for Kindness kickoff today.
Students also decorated coffee sleeves with positive messages and pictures. You can find them at The Local Press Coffee soon, so make sure you stop by and grab some kindness along with your favorite drink.

This weeks teacher spotlight goes out to Mrs. Thompson, Mrs. Foushee, Ms. Clements and Mrs. Hodges. "Their hard work organizing the Class Basketball games did not go unnoticed!! The kids look forward to it every year, and it's always such a blast!! You all rock!"
Tuesday kicks off Kindness Week! We will be partnering with Crossroads Elementary for a PB&J collection drive to help Mt. Washington Community Ministries. We will also have some fun dress days that week as well!

OMES boy's basketball team had their first game of the season today and won! We love being able to see our students do the things they love on the weekends!
Today our academic team competed in their district competition and walked away with 2nd place! Great job to our academic team students and coaches! Regionals, here we come!
