🎉 CHALLENGE ALERT! 🎉
Good morning! Today’s the day for a surprise challenge! Mrs. Joiner will POP IN to a random class meeting and pull one lucky student’s name for a special reward—lunch with the principal OR a round of HORSE on the basketball court—the winner’s choice!
💥 Students MUST be present in their class meeting to qualify, so pump them up during your morning meeting! No one knows when or where she’ll pop in, so be ready!

NTI Week Update
Starting today through the end of the week, all students will be participating in NTI (Non-Traditional Instruction). We miss our students so much and can’t wait to connect virtually!
Please make sure your child is following their teacher’s schedule and logging in at the designated meeting times. We’ve also got a few surprise activities planned to keep the week fun and engaging!
Safety remains our top priority as parts of our county are experiencing flooding. Thank you for your flexibility and support as we make the most of this situation—together.

Our seedlings are growing strong and soaking up the sunshine! It won’t be long before they make their way to our school garden. We can’t wait to watch our students nurture them and see the fruits (and veggies!) of their labor come to life!

This week's teacher spotlight goes out to Mrs. Mason. Mrs. Mason works hard every day to create an environment where our students can develop a true love for reading. Dear Old Mill Elementary Families,
Every two years, the Old Mill Elementary PTO conducts an election for parent representatives to serve on the School-Based Decision Making (SBDM) Council for the upcoming school year. We are currently accepting nominations for the 2025-2026 SBDM Parent Representatives for two positions.
Any parent with a child attending Old Mill Elementary during the 2025-2026 school year is eligible to run. SBDM representatives are required to attend a training session (six hours for new members, three hours for returning members) and participate in monthly meetings.
If you would like to nominate a parent candidate (or self-nominate), please complete the attached form. The nominee must sign the bottom of the form to confirm their acceptance of the nomination.
Deadline for nominations: Friday, March 28, 2025
Should there be more than two nominees, an election will be held in April. The two nominees receiving the most votes will serve as the 25-26 OMES SBDM Parent Representatives.
We appreciate your support in this important process! If you have any questions, please reach out.
