This weeks student spotlight goes out to Cassidy in 2nd grade. "Cassidy showed that she is a wonderful leader and a kind friend. When another student's project broke, Cassidy offered to share her own finished project to help her friend feel better. This made her friend happy and showed everyone what a caring and helpful person Cassidy is."

This weeks teacher spotlight goes out to Mrs. Jump. "Mrs. Jump has a heart of gold! She is thoughtful and truly cares about her students and colleagues. She is an amazing leader and has willingly opened her classroom wall to assist our guest teacher in 1st grade. She goes above and beyond her job requirements and does it with a smile on her face! She is a productive collaborator, innovative problem solver, effective communicator and is a wonderful role model for our students. OMES is so lucky to have her as part of the koala family! "


Today's community spotlight goes out to all of our amazing community members that joined us at our career fair today. Students are working on their first learning excursion of the year in related arts where they are focusing on the culminating question "How can we take action to make a change in our community?"
Today was the entry event where students were learning how the different professions served our community and learned more about different professions.

At Old Mill Elementary, the Broadcast Team showcases exemplary teamwork on a daily basis to deliver an outstanding and engaging broadcast for the entire school community. Their seamless collaboration and cooperation are evident from the moment they step into the broadcast room. Roles and responsibilities are clearly defined, ensuring that everyone contributes meaningfully to the broadcast. This team of students run the entire broadcast on their own. #koalascreate
