ZMS has an increasingly diverse population of students and families. Our Hispanic English Language learners population is our fastest growing! Dr.. Phelan, assisted by our EL teacher Allison Nuckolls and FRYSC Ashley Eskridge, planned a special evening for these families who come from so many different countries to form a closer relationship with ZMS. We provided snacks, information, students presented slideshows created about their culture and community, and we had an amazing dance group perform!

Bringing back student shoutouts after the hiatus! This week we have two student shoutouts. Ms. Parsons says "Ayahna comes into band everyday excited about learning and has made great improvements this year. She always gets to work immediately and works well with her peers. "
And Mr. Dawson says "Jackson always helps others when they need help. He has really stepped up last quarter and has even led a small group during class to help teach peers what they are struggling on."
Congrats to both students for being leaders! Let's keep rocking, Timberwolves!

BCPS has officially declared an NTI day Fri 1-10. Here's what you need to make NTI successful:
--->Students will use GOOGLE CLASSROOMS for all things NTI- they will meet virtually with teachers and receive assignments. Start with Advisory at 8:15.
--->Didn't get a chance to grab your student's Chromebook? You can sign in Google Classroom with any phone, other laptop, iPads, anything with internet. Reach out if you don't remember your log-in.
---> ZMS will be open for Chromebook pickup today (Thurs) until 5pm
--->This slide deck has more further expectations for students and families: bit.ly/zmsnti25
--->Tech questions? Email bethany.voight@bullitt.kyschools.us

To prepare for possible NTI days as more snowfall could occur, we are offering the following pickup times for students' Chromebooks and chargers. Please check emails/texts for more info. Stay safe out there, Timberwolves!

It may be almost winter break but the learning didn't stop this week! Mr Greenwell and Mrs Voight collaborated on an end-of-semester project for the 8th graders as they wrap up their time in the new Career labs class. Each student chose a career they explored this semester or another one they are interested in, completed research and presented their findings to their classmates. They did awesome!

Congratulations, to the 7th grade boys basketball team on finishing runner up in the county tournament. We know this isn't the finish they wanted, but the ZMS community is very proud of how they have represented us.

Please come to Eastside tonight to cheer on the 7th Grade Timberwolves as they will be battling for the county championship. This is the first time in a number of years that we have made it and would love for you to join us to cheer them on.! Let's go Timberwolves!!!

Good luck to our cheerleaders as they compete for state at Central Hardin this weekend!!

Yesterday students, staff and families heard from our wonderful ZMS band perform their holiday concerts! These students work hard under the amazing leadership of Ms Parsons and it shows. A variety of classic holiday songs and specials were performed. 🎶🎵

We also have two staffulty shoutouts! We appreciate everyone's hard work and dedication to our PACK, but it's nice to highlight some folks! Congrats to Mrs. Voight and Ms. Dawson.

We have two student positive shoutouts this week! Mrs. Simler wants to celebrate Robert Senger: "Robert has been doing remarkable this school year. His willingness to work with peers and help them academically or athletically has been beneficial for all. Robert has worked really hard getting out of his comfort zone and trying new things."
Ms. Parsons says "Myah has been performing at a very high level and contributing to her class in a positive way. Way to go Myah!"

Any 7th or 8th grader interested in playing tennis for North Bullitt, there is an informational meeting next week. Both boys and girls are invited and there are brand new courts to play on at the NB Athletic complex! Contact coach Angie Duvall for more info!

It's game day!! Go Timberwolves!

To kick off the last 10 days before winter break strong, the admin team put together a sweet treat for staffulty! Each adult received a little goody bag for "minty monday". Just a small token of appreciation can uplift spirits in this holiday season! #bepartofthePACK
