Jesse Bacon, Superintendent

Can you believe it, BCPS? This is our last newsletter before Spring Break. I don’t know about you, but we’ve already been trying to get outside as a family to enjoy some of this good weather we’ve had so far this spring.

As our spring semester is drawing to a rapid close, we want to take time to practice our Core Value of being Future Focused. There are only seven weeks left in the 2021-2022 school year, and many of those are not even full 5-day weeks. Seniors, make sure you’re being proactive about your plans once you leave BCPS - whatever those may be. We hope that we’ve inspired you to dream big and equipped you with the tools you need to bring those dreams to reality.

For our students at other grade levels that will be returning to school in the future, please also take this time to be Future Focused. Though Spring Break is drawing near, take a moment to evaluate where you are in your learning - are you where you want to be? If so, that’s wonderful! Keep pushing until the end of the year! If not, what can you do beginning after Spring Break to make sure you end the year where you want to be?

To our BCPS staff, I cannot express my thanks enough for your hard work so far this school year. You all have pulled together, rallied the troops, and done what needs to be done to help make sure our students are as successful as they can be. I hope that next week, you take a much needed break and come back ready to finish the 21-22 school year strong.

Have a safe, healthy, and happy Spring Break, everyone!
