Elise, a student at Zoneton Middle, is a true Community Contributor who leads with thoughtfulness and heart. Before choosing her instrument, she asked what the band needed most and then picked up the clarinet to fill that gap. Now, she’s using her skills to help a brand new band student catch up with the class. Elise’s willingness to put others first makes her a valuable part of her school community!

The FES 4th Grade Team masterfully guided their students to take the essential question from their MyView curriculum, "How can a place affect how we live?", and transform it into a real-world civic challenge. They empowered students to become Innovative Problem Solvers and Community Contributors, two vital competencies from the Graduate Profile.
The students didn't just study their community; they designed and pitched brilliant, viable ideas for the Shepherdsville community! Their dedication as Productive Collaborators and their skills as Effective Communicators in presenting their development resolutions to the panel are truly commendable.
Way to go, FES 4th Grade!

Mrs. Wampler is a beautiful example of Students Matter Most! One parent recently shared how their child, Wyatt, can’t wait to get to school because of her kindness and the excitement she brings to learning. “She’s kind to everyone, Mom,” he said, and that kindness is creating a classroom where students feel seen, supported, and inspired.
Thank you, Mrs. Wampler, for sparking joy, building confidence, and reminding students that learning can be both meaningful and fun. Here’s to the #theBESt year yet!
