Before choosing her instrument, she asked what the band needed most and then picked up the clarinet to fill that gap. The FES 4th Grade Team masterfully guided their students to take the essential question from their MyView curriculum, "How can a place affect how we live?", and transform it into a real-world civic challenge. They empowered students to become Innovative Problem Solvers and Community Contributors, two vital competencies from the Graduate Profile.
The students didn't just study their community; they designed and pitched brilliant, viable ideas for the Shepherdsville community! Their dedication as Productive Collaborators and their skills as Effective Communicators in presenting their development resolutions to the panel are truly commendable.
