🌟 Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Robin Crisp at Brooks Elementary 🌟

Mrs. Crisp is a shining example of Proactive Innovation! As a STEAM teacher, she brings learning to life by placing students at the center of hands-on, real-world projects that blend science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

Instead of simply explaining concepts, she empowers students to design, build, test, revise, and try again. Whether coding a game, engineering a bridge, or using art to visualize data, her students learn by doing, collaborating, and growing from mistakes.

Through her innovative approach, Mrs. Crisp builds curiosity, confidence, and powerful problem-solving skills that help students see how their creativity can make a real impact. Thank you for inspiring the next generation of innovators! 💡👏

🏀 Charger Pride: A Season for the Books!
What an incredible journey for our Bullitt East Lady Chargers! 🏀

After an elite run to become the 6th Region Champions, our girls headed to Lexington today to take on the state’s best. While the scoreboard didn’t go our way this time, the final numbers don't tell the whole story.

Our Lady Chargers played with pure heart, fought for every loose ball, and competed until the very last second. That grit and determination are exactly what being a Charger is all about!

❤️ A Message of Gratitude
The Bullitt East Athletic Department and the entire team want to send a massive THANK YOU to the BCPS community. Whether you wore red, black, and/or gold in the stands at Rupp Arena or cheered from home, your support was felt on the court.

We are so proud of these athletes, not just for the trophies they brought home, but for the character they showed representing Bullitt County on the big stage.

Head high, Lady Chargers. We are so proud of you! 🏆✨

🌱 Greenhouse Greatness at Bullitt Central!
Huge shout out to Mr. Peake and his incredible students at Bullitt Central High School! 🐾

As we inch closer to spring, the BCHS greenhouse is officially coming to life. It’s a beautiful sight to see all that dirt-under-the-fingernails hard work literally beginning to bloom. 🌸 On Wednesday, the crew was firing on all cylinders, checking on their plants, propagating new growth, and grooming their crops to perfection.

Connecting the Dots: Grad Profile in Action
This isn't just gardening; it’s a masterclass in Authentic Learning. Our students are exemplifying components of the BCPS Graduate Profile every single day:

🌱Mastery Learner: Students are applying complex botanical knowledge to ensure every seedling thrives, proving they can master real-world skills outside the traditional classroom.

🌱Productive Collaborator: A greenhouse doesn't run on solo effort! These students are working in sync, communicating, and dividing tasks to maintain a healthy ecosystem.

🌱Community Contributor: By prepping for their upcoming sale, they are learning how to provide a valuable service and high-quality products to our local Bullitt County neighbors.

🗓️ Save the Date!
Watching the hard work pay off is great, but seeing it come full circle is even better. Come support these hardworking Cougars at their Plant Sale on April 18th! Get your garden spring-ready with plants grown right here by our own students.

Keep up the amazing work, Mr. Peake and team! We can't wait to see the final results. 🌿✨

🍪 A Recipe for Success: Math Meets Culinary Arts!
What happens when you mix chocolate chips, fractions, and a dash of high school mentorship? You get a delicious lesson in real-world learning!

This morning, Bullitt East High School’s Culinary Arts students, under the leadership of Mr. Bustetter, teamed up with Mrs. Ashley Grady’s 5th graders at Old Mill Elementary for a hands-on collaboration that was as educational as it was tasty.

📐 From Textbooks to Tablespoons
The mission? To bridge the gap between classroom math and everyday life. Students worked side-by-side to navigate the world of fractions, carefully measuring ingredients to bake the perfect batch of chocolate chip cookies. It was an authentic look at how math isn't just a subject on a page, it's a vital tool in the kitchen.

💡 Innovative Problem Solvers
As any chef knows, the kitchen is full of surprises! When a few recipes didn't go exactly to plan, our students didn't crumble. Instead, they stepped up as innovative problem solvers, troubleshooting their measurements and adjusting on the fly.

🤝 Better Together
We love seeing our Chargers and Koalas collaborate. This partnership provided our elementary students with an inspiring look at high school pathways and gave our culinary students a chance to lead and mentor.

Huge thanks to Mr. Bustetter, Mrs. Grady, and all the students for proving that when we work together, the results are always sweet!
